REPORT OF ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE  By Ivan Garan August 05, 2014 Abstract This report gives a detailed summary of my 35 years sea service on different kind of ocean  and offshore fleet’s vessels. From above mentioned sea service period I worked 26 years  as licensed engineer in the different positions and ranks. Since 1995 till present moment, about 19 years I worked on various type of vessels as chief engineer. I worked as base & port engineer as well. Please see attached full record of my sea service. I have high maritime education and I hold unlimited Marine 1st class engineer’s certificate. Profile I am Ukrainian, 54 years old and I hold the certificate Marine Engineer First Class without any limitation. I was born 10th of February 1960 in the Kherson, Ukraine. After primary school in 1975 I joined secondary marine school at navigating department and graduated in1979. In the same year commenced to work on Ukraine vessels as AB and Motorman. Since 1981 till 1984 I was employed by Russian Navy as officer. In 1988 I graduated at engineering department in the same marine school and commenced to work as 4th engineer. Gaining experience and promotions, I passed practice as 4th, 3rd, 2nd and Chief engineer. From 1995 until present moment I worked as chief engineer on different type of vessels. During my sea practice I have worked on deep sea cargo, multi-purpose, passenger, container-carrier vessels. For the last 18 years I worked on the Crew, Tug, Line anchor handling, Diving support, Supply, SBM maintenance, Fire fighting, Oil spill respond, 4 & 8 point mooring, Landing craft, Self moving accommodation barge, Twin screw utility, Fast support & intervention, DP-1 & DP-2 supply vessels, Lift barge (jacking up and down vessels). In ocean fleet I served on Russian, Ukrainian, German, Greece, vessels. In offshore fleet I served on Dutch (Netherlands), Nigerian, UK, USA, Swiss and French vessels. I worked for Dolphin Offshore, Walvis, OIS(oil industrial service), SLOK, Tide Water Marine and ABC Maritime AG, Hercules Offshore companies. Also I have experience as port & base engineer. In 1990 I commenced extramural education in Leningrad Institute of Water Transport (LIWT) at designing department and graduated in 1996. I have good practice with various kind of welding skills, basic turning with lathe machine, computer cognition on very good level. From above mentioned amount I served 26 years  as licensed engineer and 19 years as Chief  Engineer without any limitation on different board vessels.
